Silent Ripples Inc. is a support group that provides support for families and friends affected by the loss of a loved one through suicide.
Suicide causes grief which has a rippling effect unlike any other loss of life. Many people find it difficult to talk about their thoughts and feelings, with the result that these issues are often held in silence.
Silent Ripples Inc. provides an understanding environment where you can share in discussing the issues associated with loss by suicide.
Silent Ripples Inc. is an informal support group for anyone who has been touched by loss through suicide.
Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, 6pm to 8pm. The first meeting of the month is a social group meeting and the 2nd one is a business group meeting. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
Meetings are held at the Flinders University Rural Clinical School, Murray Bridge (located at the back of the Murray Bridge Soldier's Memorial Hospital).
forming a local support group
Silent Ripples Inc. are willing and available to support communities in establishing their own local suicide support group. We would be happy to see our community support group services expand into other areas and for people to be supported in a similar way.
Silent Ripples Inc. experience in establishing their own group and the challenges that have been overcome along the way, can be shared to make establishing your group an easier outcome.
So if you are thinking about it, please contact us via the website.
The construction of the Memorial Garden has been a project of Silent Ripples Inc. and like establishing a group, we can share our experience in creating the garden also.
